​I’ve always loved cake – but I didn’t always know that I loved creating them. A few years ago, I decided to throw my sister a baby shower. This shower was a long time coming. After 9 years of trying to conceive and persevering through a difficult adoption process, my sister and her husband finally adopted their beautiful little boy, Caleb. So this shower was extremely special and I wanted it to be perfect - which includes a perfect cake. So, I took a cake course.

The cake was a huge hit, but most importantly, I discovered my true passion: designing and creating custom cakes. It wasn’t just the process of making it that I loved – it was seeing the delight in people’s eyes. I knew this is what I wanted to do.
